Question
Please could I request under the Freedom of Information Act a summary of the qualitative and quantitative research you have undertaken (surveys, focus groups, depth interviews) that have focused on public or victim perceptions of policing generally or your force specifically, covering 2019 and 2020 calendar years. Ideally, I would like to see the outputs of the research, but if that is not possible then a simple summary of what research has been undertaken would suffice.
Answer
Each year, the OPFCC undertake a consultation exercise in relation to the level of Council Tax precept. The reports are published during February and details of which can be found on our website at:
https://www.northantspfcc.org.uk/our-information/pfcp/reports/
The OPFCC also undertook consultation work as part of its Safer Streets Surveys in 2020. This involved a number of engagement events at Wellingborough utilising Zoom with the members of the Independent Advisory Group in support of the awareness raising of and delivery of the successful grant. There were no outputs but was simply used it as a platform to describe what we were doing and take any feedback from residents.
The OPFCC also undertakes ongoing stakeholder work with regular meetings with councillors and parish councillors and with neighbourhood watch groups across the County.
In addition to this, the OPFCC will shortly begin consultation on a new Police and Crime Plan which will be published on our website in due course.
